Our Childcare Philosophies

Every aspect of a little one’s day can become a teaching moment. Here, we are very focused on play-based learning.

What does play-based learning entail?

Lots of free play, open-ended activities, structured games, sensory activities, etc.

What is the provider’s role in this?

As the provider, we are more of a facilitator than a lecturer. We are playing a vital role in creating a stimulating learning environment and guiding children’s learning through observation, questioning, and scaffolding.

Benefits of play-based learning?

This approach prioritizes allowing children to take the lead in what their learning experience is like. It helps develop creativity, social skills, and independence.

Program Details

Ages Accepted: 0-13 years old

I can accept up to 8 children.

Meals Provided: Breakfast, AM snack, lunch, PM snack

Subsidy Accepted? Yes.

Bilingual? Yes! I speak English and Spanish.

Closure Dates: To prioritize time with my family, my home will be closed with pay for the following holidays (no credits given, payment is still due): 

• New Year's Day

• Labor Day

• Easter Monday

• Thanksgiving Day

• Memorial Day

• Christmas Day

• Independence Day

           My home will be closed for care with no pay on the following dates:       

• New Year's Eve 

• The day after Thanksgiving

• The day before Christmas 

Child Care Food Program Participation

Our daycare participates in the Child Care Food Program (CCFP). This program helps provide nutritious meals and snacks that meet USDA standards for children’s growth and development. By being a part of the program, we’re able to serve a variety of healthy foods—fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy, and proteins—so you can be assured your child is receiving well-balanced meals every day while in care. There is no additional cost to families for this benefit.
